Man City will face Liverpool at Wembley Stadium for the 2021/22 FA Cup semifinal match, Saturday (16/04/2022) at 8:00 p.m. Indian time.
Man City qualified for the semifinals after getting rid of Southampton in the quarter-finals with a landslide score of 4-1. Meanwhile, Liverpool escaped after getting rid of Nottingham Forest with a thin score 1-0.
Man City and Liverpool actually just met last week in the match week 32 of the Premier League which took place at the Etihad Stadium. In that match, the two drew 2-2. Two Man City goals were scored by Kevin De Bruyne in the 5th minute and Gabriel Jesus in the 37th minute. Man City qualified with a 1-0 aggregate advantage over Atletico Madrid after drawing 0-0 in the second leg of the quarter-finals in the middle of last week. Meanwhile, Liverpool qualified with a 6-4 aggregate advantage after drawing 3-3 in the second leg of the quarter-finals last week.
For Man City, the draw left them without defeat in 10 consecutive matches in all competitions (W6 D4 L0). Meanwhile, for Liverpool, the draw made them without defeat in 7 consecutive matches in all competitions (W5 D2 L0).
